How It Works: Roof Estimates in Albuquerque, NM

Roof Replacement Albuquerque NM is a free referral service for homeowners in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and nearby towns. You tell us about your roof, and we hand that request to one independent local roofer. From there, the roofer and you take it forward. This page explains each part.

What This Site Is, and Isn't

Think of this site as a switchboard with a guidebook attached. It connects you to a roofer and offers plain notes on costs, permits and paperwork. It is not a contractor. We hold no license from New Mexico's Construction Industries Division, we never quote a price, and we never sign a roofing contract with anyone.

New Mexico treats anyone who offers to take on roof work as a contractor, so we are careful never to offer it. The roofer you meet is a separate business that answers for its own estimate and its own work.

Request, Match, Inspect, Estimate

  1. Request. Fill in the short form or call (505) 555-0183. Say where the house is and what is going on with the roof.
  2. Match. We send your details to one independent roofer who covers your part of the metro. Nobody else gets them.
  3. Inspect. The roofer contacts you to arrange a visit, then checks and measures the roof. This visit is between you and the roofer.
  4. Estimate. The roofer gives you a written estimate. Read it, ask questions, get other bids if you want, or simply pass.

The roofer may pay us for sending the request. You pay us nothing at any stage.

Roofers You Can Verify

We don't vouch for any roofer, so the checking is in your hands, and it is quick. Here is what to look at before you sign:

  • A state license for roofing. Search the roofer's name on the online license lookup CID links to, and look for classification GS-21, or phone CID in Albuquerque at (505) 222-9800.
  • Insurance on paper. Ask to see a current liability policy, and a workers' comp policy when the company has a payroll.
  • A written, itemized contract. It should list tear-off, decking repair, materials, flashing, cleanup and the payment schedule.
  • Warranties in writing. Get both the labor warranty and the manufacturer's warranty, and ask who registers the manufacturer's one.
  • The right permit. Inside city limits, a re-roof needs a city permit, and the roofer normally pulls it and books inspections. In Old Town, Huning Highland or another historic overlay zone, a Certificate of Appropriateness comes first.
  • A real local presence. A local address, references from nearby jobs and, where an HOA applies, its sign-off on color and material.

Things This Site Never Offers

Some things are off the table here, by design and by New Mexico law.

  • Roof work of any kind. No tear-offs, no repairs, no coatings, no bids. Those come only from the roofer.
  • Deductible deals or gifts. We never cover, waive or refund a deductible, and we hand out no gift cards, rebates or rewards. Treat anyone who dangles a deductible deal as a warning sign.
  • Help with your insurance claim. We don't talk to insurers for you. Only someone the state licenses as an adjuster may act as one, and that is neither us nor the roofer.
  • A stamp on any roofer. We don't rate or check roofers for you; the license search does that job.
